What is the point of the college application? This may be a question you’ve asked yourself either out of reflection or perhaps frustration if you’ve started working on your applications. We don’t have time to sit back and talk to every applicant one on one therefore you are asked by us to give us a number of information to use and gain a feeling of who you are. If the content reflects who you are, not just as a student but also as a person as you complete your applications, ask yourselves.

Composing a personal statement is stressful. Up until this point, we’m guessing most school that is high have actually only written academic documents. No Shortcuts: Cuz ur not talkin to ur bff

Publishing a college application is a big step. I remember sitting at my computer reading the preview of my application over and over. And repeatedly again. I’m not kidding I probably read it over shmoop.pro 50 times to make sure everything looked ok.

I didn’t have a complete lot of direction in this processes. I did son’t have college guidance counselor, and I was the first within my household to go to a college that is four-year. But we knew in the most positive way possible that I wanted to put my best foot forward and present myself. I made sure to emphasize my greatest achievements and my strongest extracurricular activities. And in my essays I became sure to emphasize my interest in each institution. I was thoughtful about why each university or college ended up being on my list, so made it easier to communicate to those institutions as to why I desired to attend each school.

I made sure my letters of recommendation were submitted on time. I followed up with my teachers to ensure they were sent. When filling in even the simplest parts of the application form like my address and my family information, we capitalized proper nouns and abbreviated words correctly. We know this may appear silly, but after reading 1000s of applications, i’m surprised that numerous students don’t adhere to some of these simple grammar guidelines. I’ve seen pupils who don’t capitalize their road title and others who use the word ‘gotta’ in the place of ‘got to’. I’ve also seen students who submit a single paragraph commonapp essay whenever there must be multiple paragraphs. You might be not emailing or texting friends. You are completing an application for college. Do not take shortcuts.

I wasn’t the type of student to submit my application on November 1st if the application ended up being December 1st, I were although I wish.
